Teen Support

For when growing up feels overwhelming

The teen years can be tough--

Both for teens and the parents who love them

This stage of life brings so many changes, inside and out. Emotions feel bigger. Friendships shift. School pressure builds. Independence becomes more important, but it can also feel confusing or isolating. It’s normal for teens to struggle sometimes as they figure out who they are and where they fit in the world.

Movéo is a space where teens feel seen, heard, and understood--without judgement. Whether your teen is dealing with anxiety, depression, identity questions, or just feeling stuck, therapy can help them find clarity and confidence in who they are becoming. You're not alone—and your teen doesn’t have to navigate this time alone either.

Teen Therapy Services

In Person

The SMART therapy room offers teens a full array of regulation tools they can use throughout session. Some teens prefer to sit in the "teen corner" of our office with beanbags, a crash pad, a fidgets, where we do more traditional talk therapy, while others fully engage with the somatic regulation tools moving throughout the SMART room during session.

Virtual

Traditional talk therapy, from the comfort and privacy of your home.

Your teen will need access to a quiet, private space and a good WiFi connection.

How We Help:

Movéo treats teens with a variety of presenting mental health concerns including:

- School stress

- School refusal

- Generalized and social anxiety

- Depression and mood disorders

- Relationship challenges

- Family changes

- Identity exploration

My approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Psychodynamic modalities. Like in my SMART therapy work with children, I operate from a "bottom-up" clinical approach, meaning I will help your teen befriend their nervous system and feel more connected to their body in addition to getting into the nitty-gritty of the cognitive.
